THE NEVADA STATE SOCIETY FLAG PROJECT
GOLDFIELD, NEVADA


The John C. Fremont Chapter participated in the Nevada State Flag Event on August 16, 2013, in Goldfield, NV.
Members donated a flag to the Goldfield Gift Shop, in conjunction with the Fort Halleck Chapter.

The John C. Fremont Chapter also honored the Grand Army of the Republic Section of the Goldfield Cemetery with a new flag.
Regent Barbara Manning spoke of the key Civil War events during August, commemorating 150 years since the Civil War.

"Always Lost: A Meditation on War" Exhibit

Members of the John C. Fremont Chapter and other northern chapters attended the opening ceremony for the "Always Lost" exhibit at the Nevada Legistlature.

THE NEVADA STATE SOCIETY FLAG PROJECT

The John C. Fremont Chapter, in conjunction with the Fort Halleck Chapter, participated in the Nevada State Flag project by presenting a flag to the Tonopah Memorial Swimming Pool, November 3rd, 2012.

    MONUMENT FOR THE VIRGINIA AND TRUCKEE RAILROAD
    November 2, 2002
    A monument marking the route of the Virginia & Truckee Railroad from Reno to Carson City from 1872 to 1950
    was dedicated at the Reno Convention Center. It was sponsored by the Washoe County Fair & Recreation Board,
    and the Nevada State Society, Daughters of the American Revolution Chapters.
